Lavaux-Ste-Anne Castle

Photos 12053497.JPGThe castle shelters today a museum dedicated to wildlife, to venery, the art of hunting and to falconry. The fortified farm salutes the witnesses of rural life at the beginning of the last century. At Lavaux-Ste-Anne you will visit the most beautiful castle of the Wallon plain. The dungeon, built from 1450, held back its assailants with its moats, draw-bridge, archery turrets, loopholes and round towers. During the Renaissance, the fortress with the massive stone structure vested itself in red brick and bulbous towers.
