The Centre for engravings is a museum dedicated to the art of printing, a unique collection, original exhibitions and an educative offer with multiple facets. It's a beautiful space that was renovated and extended in 2011.

Its amazing collection of 12.500 art works made by 1.640 Belgian and foreign artists shows the wealth of modern and contemporary art from the second half of the 20th century onwards. A documentation centre, an engraving atelier as well as a conference and projection room allow all types of public to access the different facets of the art of printing.

Amateurs, collectors, students, families...; each type of public can get initiated to the art of engraving by means of original activities conceived in close collaboration with the artists.

Just like a jewel box hidden in the city centre of La Louvière, the Centre for engravings is revealing the multiple facets of the contemporary prints.
This lively and dynamic museum, established in the rue des Amours in 1988, was entirely renovated and extended in 2011.

The educative department is developing different adapted activities: guided tours, engraving ateliers, pedagogical sets, workshops for adults and children, open-air animations and long-term educative actions.
