Fragments of the superb reliquary treasures of Saint Gertrude (1272-1298), destroyed during the bombing attacks of May 1940. New reliquary masterwork by Felix Roulin. Wooden furniture: Renaissance stalls, 15th century Madonna, sculptures and pulpits by Laurent Delvaux.
Collegiate church built in the Roman-Rhenish style, erected in several phases from the beginning of the 11th century. The special nature of its architecture lies in a two-way plan made up of two transepts and two choirs opposite one another. 12th century west front. Roman crypt. Archaeological underground containing the remainders of a chapel and of a Merovingian church (7th century) and of three Carolingian churches (9th and 10th centuries). The cloister is a transitional work of the beginning of the 13th century.
