At the heart of the Park of Solvay, the Farmstead of the Castle of La Hulpe welcomes the Folon Foundation, a surprising museum where the multiple techniques and styles of the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon are revealed. Some 300 pieces are presented in an original scenic setting. By means of architecture, light and sound, the visitor is taken to the heart of creation, into the universe of the artist. Come and turn the most beautiful pages of his life: aquarelles, paintings, etchings, wooden objects, sculptures, tapestries, stained glass windows, posters and illustrations. After your visit, discover the splendour of the fauna and flora of the lovely Park of Solvay, a jewel of 220 hectares of greenery. The farm of Zondael, today renamed the Farmstead of the Castle, was built in 1833 by the architect J.P. Cluysenaer, to whom one accredits the superb Saint Hubert royal galleries in Brussels. In the course of embellishments, the Farmstead took on its current aspect: whitewashed buildings set out in a quadrangle around a paved courtyard. Today the property of the Wallon Region, it was renovated and equipped to accommodate the Folon Foundation, a permanent museum which displays all the facets of the artist
