An intimate memory to one of the greatest painter of the 20th century!

The René Magritte Museum is a biographical museum, located in the house where Magritte and his wife Georgette lived the longest time, that is for 24 years, between 1930 and 1954. The couple rented the ground floor, which has been recreated with original furniture. Magritte produced at that address almost the half of his work. The place also became the headquarters of the Belgian surrealist group, which met there every Saturday.
On the upper levels, an exhibition traces Magritte's life and career, as well as the history of the Belgian surrealist group, through photos, letters, documents and personal objects.
